■ GREEN = your train (Narita Airport) ■ GREY = do not board — Chiba / Zushi do NOT go to airport ⚠ Scheduled times only (Mar 2025). Delays not reflected — confirm on the actual platform board.
⚠ EARLY MORNING — TRACK #2 DEPARTURE
This early morning train departs from Track #2 (Yokosuka Line platform), NOT Track #3 or #4. Track #2 is on the same B5F level — follow signs for "横須賀線 Yokosuka Line" and look for the Narita Airport display.

⚠️ ELEVATOR / ACCESSIBILITY WARNING
🧳 TRAVELING WITH LUGGAGE / WHEELCHAIR / STROLLER?
B1→B4
OK ✓
Escalators and elevators available. Use the elevator near the ticket gate for wheelchairs/strollers.
B4→B5
CAUTION ⚠
Mainly stairs. 1 down-escalator (2 during weekday daytime & weekends) · 1 elevator only. Allow extra time if carrying large bags.
#1·#2
DIRECT EV
Tracks #1·#2 have a direct elevator B1↔B5 (2 units). Useful for wheelchair users — but these tracks serve the Yokosuka Line (wrong direction for Narita).
#3·#4
NO DIRECT EV
No direct elevator from B1 to Track #3·#4. Take elevator to B4, then change to a separate elevator or use stairs to reach B5.
🟥
FREE SP.
Each car has a pink-floored free space at one end. Priority for wheelchairs and strollers — it may already be occupied. Do not count on it for luggage.
💡 Elevator only (B1→B4→B5, 2 transfers): allow at least 15 minutes before departure — elevator wait times can stack up, especially during busy periods.
💼 TRAVELING WITH HEAVY LUGGAGE?
Consider taking N'EX (Narita Express) instead — dedicated luggage space, guaranteed seat, and no elevator transfers to worry about. → Go back and choose N'EX
STEP 4 — PLATFORM DEPARTURE BOARD (B5F)
Each platform has its own board. On Track #3 or #4, confirm your train before boarding.

⚠ If board shows "CHIBA" or "NARITA" (not airport) — wait for next train.
⚠ Board Cars 1–11 only. Cars +1 to +4 (rear) may go to a different destination. Times shown are scheduled. Delays not reflected — confirm on the actual board above you.
⚠ THIS TRAIN DEPARTS FROM TRACK #2
You are on the wrong platform. Go to Track #2 — same B5F floor, Yokosuka Line side. Look for "成田空港" on the departure board there.
TRACK #1 · #2 — DO NOT USE FOR NARITA
#1 · #2
Track #1 and #2 are the Yokosuka Line — heading toward Kamakura, Zushi, Kurihama. These do NOT go to Narita Airport. Do not use these platforms.

⚠️ ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS — "NARITA" ≠ "NARITA AIRPORT"
成田
NARITA
This train runs in the same direction as the airport — but terminates at Narita city center. You will NOT reach the airport. Stay on the train until you hear "Narita Airport Terminal 2·3".
✗ NOT AIRPORT
✓ Front and side both show "成田空港 NARITA AIRPORT" — board immediately.

✈ NARITA AIRPORT ← front
rear → WRONG destination ✗
The rear 4 cars ("+1" to "+4" on the platform floor) travel together with the airport train — but only until Sakura Station (~30 min into the journey). There, they detach and head to a different destination.
You can board them, but if you miss the announcement at Sakura, you may end up far from the airport with heavy luggage.
✅ Safest choice: board Cars 1–11 (front section). No surprises.
🟢 ABOUT CARS 4 & 5 — GREEN CAR
Cars 4 and 5 are Green Car — a premium class with wider seats. You CAN board without a reservation, but you need to buy a Green Car ticket separately (¥1,260 · cash, Mar 2025). Buy at the Green ticket machine on the B5 platform before boarding, or use the in-car reader — but it costs more inside.
HOW TO FIND YOUR CAR NUMBER
Look at the number painted on the platform floor at your feet. Numbers 1–11 = airport. "+1〜+4" or "増1〜増4" = wrong train. When in doubt, walk toward the front of the train until you see a single-digit or two-digit number (1–11).
⚠️ ANNOUNCEMENT — DON'T BE CONFUSED
🔊 WHAT YOU'LL HEAR
🇯🇵
「総武快速線・成田線直通 成田空港行き」
Japanese: says BOTH line names in full.
🇺🇸
「This is the Narita Line bound for Narita Airport.」
English: "Sobu Rapid" is NOT mentioned. ✓ Still the correct train. Line name changes mid-route — that's normal.
FULL GUIDE SUMMARY
TOKYO STATION → NARITA AIRPORT
1
Buy ticket / tap IC card at JR gate
To "成田空港 Narita Airport" (¥1,980). IC card (Suica/Pasmo) also works.

Check the big departure board at B1 concourse
Find NARITA AIRPORT — note the track number (#3 or #4). Green row = your train.
3
Follow signs → go down to B5F
Look for 「総武快速線」 signs. Take the long escalator or elevator all the way down to underground level 5.
4

"Narita Station" ≠ airport! Stay seated until you hear "Narita Airport Terminal 2·3" (~90 min total).
